The Columbia Housing Authority (CHA) is a public agency that helps people who meet income and other eligibility guidelines secure affordable, safe and quality housing in the City of Columbia. We are governed by a board of five commissioners, all of whom are from our community and have been appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Columbia City Council. We operate 296 units located in five fabulous communities (Southern Hills, Oakwood, Creekside, Northridge, and Northridge Annex). Like other housing authorities, we comply with all federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements in the development and operation of our housing programs.
