CHA RESIDENT SERVICES
The CHA offers additional services to assist individuals and families. The CHA believes strongly in advocating for residents and helping them help themselves. Education, work experience, and activities for youth and adults are some of the opportunities available to our residents.
Below, you will see all of the social services we provide our residents.
   CHA VISTA PROGRAM
The CHA VISTA (Volunteer In Service to America) program is a new program established by CHA to offer increased resident services for all our communities. These volunteer programs offer new opportunities for our residents to connect with the community through educational and recreational activities. These services are available to residents of all ages.
   CAREERS AND JOB SKILLS
Opportunities to improve job skills, career advancement, or employment opportunities. Training and continuing education are available through community partnerships.
   PARENTING & YOUTH
Help with parenting is available through a number of initiatives targeted at families and youth. These include:
Community United After School Program: CHA works with this United Way agency to provide one-on-one tutoring in any subject, at any grade level, in subject areas identified by parents, schools and the children themselves. Free meals and supervised activities are also part of the fun. Special activities have also included trips, recreational activities, and more. The After School Program meets in the Creekside Community, 416 Willow Street, Monday through Thursday, 3:30-6:00 p.m. during the school year and weekdays during the summer months.
   MONEY MANAGEMENT
The CHA offers personalized help with managing individual or family finances. We offer budgeting workshops through the Family Center, or we can make referrals to other agencies for consultation and management purposes.
   ADULT SERVICES
Adult Education Program: The CHA offers learning opportunities for adults in a wide range of subjects. Also, this program helps to prepare persons to receive a GED certificate. Additionally, the CHA works with the Career Center to encourage residents to gain insight into basic office skills, keyboarding, and introduction to computers, Microsoft Word, word processing, office procedures and job skills. We plan on partnering with Columbia State Community College to offer other education and training sessions in the future.
